Cajun – Nathan Abshire – Jolie Blond – Accordion
Here is another video of the late great cajun musician Nathan Abshire playing Jolie Blond, a true cajun classic. Effortless playing. Clip taken from Les Blank’s film “J’Etais Au Bal”. I would recommend this video for ANY lover of cajun music.

There is a male country artist with a song…cajun background…"I’m gonna get you, you’re going to love me." ?
Eddy Raven, 1988, I’m Gonna Get You
Hope you like the way I talk
The way I smile, the way I walk
Hope you’re in to how I dress
The way I think
And all the rest – ’cause
I’m gonna get you
You’re gonna love me
No doubt about it
I’m gonna get you
When you’re driftin’ off to sleep
Close your eyes and think of me
Make it easy on yourself
Don’t dream about
Nobody else – ’cause
I’m gonna get you
You’re gonna love me
No doubt about it
I’m gonna get you
You can run and you can hide
But in the end you’ll realize
You’ve been runnin’ right to me
Turn around
And there I’ll be
I’m gonna get you
You’re gonna love me
No doubt about it
I’m gonna get you
It ain’t a matter of chance
Honey, it’s destiny
There ain’t no getting’ away
It’s just the way it’s gonna be
I’m gonna get you
You’re gonna love me
No doubt about it
I’m gonna get you

is their a Cajun music radio station in dallas?
I wish! Leo Perrin has a cajun zydeco music show on KNON on Monday nights at 8:00 – location is 89.3 FM. He is slightly irritating and every minute he tells you how many minutes are left in his show but it’s about all we get here.
There is a party at Poor David’s on the 18th – info on KNON web site
Also on Sunday almost all day starting at 7 – 4 you can listed to Cajun and zydeco music on the Lafayette La. Public Radio station KVRS. They broadcast over the internet.
Heck, there isn’t even much Cajun music heard in this town.
Steve Riley forever!!!!
