Song Title: “Dixie Jass Band One Step”
Also known as: “The Original Dixieland One Step”

This song is among the very FIRST of the recordings of Jass music. The year was 1917, and it was recorded by the Original Dixieland Jass Band (ODJB).

Dan Levinson’s Roof Garden Jass Band ~ ~ ~
Dan Levinson – leader, clarinet & C-melody saxophone
Jon-Erik Kellso – trumpet
David Sager – trombone
Kevin Dorn – drums
Tom Roberts – piano

This performance by Dan Levinson’s Roof Garden Jass Band is their own version of the piece that was performed in 1917.

I own the CD that Dan produced with 21 songs on it, and I highly recommend it. Every number is unique and exciting!

All of the songs are performed with loving care to be as nearly perfect as posible to the way the ODJB would have sounded if you could have listened to them live in the recording studio back when they made their original recordings.
